My name is Trang Nguyen (they/them) and I am a Anti-Oppressive and Complex Trauma Pscychotherapist and Abolitionist Social Worker of Vietnamese ancestry, residing on the unceded land of the Ohlone people, colonially known as Oakland, California. I am queer, non-binary, neurodiverse, community organizer and I use a justice-oriented/anti-oppressive, abolitionist, decolonial, transformative + restorative justice, harm reductionist, depathologizing and non-carceral approach. I look beyond the individual and familial context, and I also encourage my clients to look at how community, society, systemic oppressions, and ancestry influence their lived experiences. I use a variety of approaches including IFS, Attachment theory, Relational healing, Decolonizing, Trauma-attuned, Harm Reduction, Somatics, Gender Affirming, Ketamine Assisted Therapy (KAP), bottom-up and experimental and talk therapy to support folx in exploring the answers within themselves.
