Shea is an Independent Marriage and Family Therapist (AAMFT Approved Supervisor Candidate) and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervision designation. Shea graduated from a dually accredited Master's program for Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling from The University of Akron. Shea is trained in systems theory, EMDR, OCD/Panic Disorder, TF-CBT, and Shea is Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed. Shea's areas of specialties include treating marriage/couples, trauma, difficult life transitions, insecurities, depression, and anxiety. Shea has an empathetic, analytical, and direct therapeutic style and often utilizes Structural, Experiential, and Object Relations Family Therapy. While understanding growth/change is often uncomfortable, it is necessary for achieving insight, self-improvement, and systemic change.
