I see therapy as collaborative, with me was a therapist bringing some expertise and experience, and that patient bring their expertise and experience of their life and together we explore past experiences, present experiences, and what next steps towards next experiences and what can be learned in the past and present to create a direction to the future that the patient is hoping to experience. I work with people with depression, anxiety, trauma, confusion, feeling stuck, disempowered, and also with people who what to build on past work to improve their journey with more sense of agency and engagement with themselves and others, and less influenced and encumbered by the past. I see KAP as a way to explore new ways of being, feeling, seeing, getting unstuck, more open, and to allow the possibility of a different reality or way of being, feeling, or thinking. Facilitating more neuroplasticity and more opportunity, in a safe way, in a safe place, and with a safe person.
