Neuroscience-informed psychotherapy integrating brain, mind, emotions, body, behavior, and meaning for lasting change.
I’m Ralu Maxim, PhD, a psychotherapist, cognitive neuroscientist, and researcher with a background spanning clinical psychology, neuroscience, human behavior, and digital mental health. My work integrates evidence-based psychotherapy with a neuroscience-informed understanding of how thoughts, emotions, the body, relationships, and lived experience interact. I support adults navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, trauma-related patterns, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, and emotional dysregulation. My therapeutic style is collaborative, warm, and structured, drawing from approaches such as CBT, ACT, DBT-informed skills, trauma-informed care, somatic work, mindfulness, and neuropsychotherapy. I am also trained in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy and provide preparation and integration support within appropriate collaborative medical care. My goal is to help clients understand themselves more deeply, build practical skills, and translate insight into sustainable change.
