Malissa creates a therapeutic space where expertise and empathy meet. With nearly 20 years in the field and known for her compassionate presence and empowering style, she blends a variety of well-established techniques to what feels most helpful for each client’s journey. Her advanced training across different therapy methods, including Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), allows her to create a thoughtful, customized experience for each client. Malissa earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Washington’s Advanced Standing Program and completed a postgraduate certificate in the Assessment and Treatment of Psychological Trauma at the same institution. Before entering private practice, Malissa supported women healing from relationship abuse as lead therapist at the YWCA. She then spent over a decade with the Department of Veterans Affairs, providing trauma-focused therapy to Veterans and later advancing into leadership.
