I utilize a harm reduction approach that is trauma-focused to explore functions of our behavior and healthier ways to overcome adversity. My orientation is psychodynamic in nature, with a focus on relationships (both past and present) and mindfulness techniques. I recognize that the coping skills we’ve developed throughout life may eventually stop serving us, create negative consequences, or leave us feeling unfulfilled. Together, utilizing KAP, we can explore the function of these coping skills and learn to shed these behavior patterns in order to make space for a more authentic, meaningful life.
