My primary therapeutic approach is Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy.
After college I did direct care work with mentally ill adults for 5 yrs before getting my MBA from Syracuse Univ. I then worked in business for 25 yrs, most recently as the CEO of Webucator, a national training company. Over time it became clear to me that I wanted to get back into the mental health field. In July 2024 I graduated from Le Moyne College with my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My primary therapeutic approach is Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy. My oldest daughter (now 24) developed anorexia at the age of 10. Since then EDs have been a big part of my life. In addition to the obvious personal ways, I speak regularly to other parents struggling to support their kids, I joined the board of FEAST (Families Empowered And Supporting Treatment for Eating Disorders) and I published a book titled "Love, Crowd Out, Forgive, Accept: A Guide to Supporting a Loved One with Anorexia". My life experience informs my work as a therapist.
