I got my Ph.D in clinical psychology from Columbia Univ. where I’ve been an Adjunct Professor for over 25 years. I also have a certificate in psychoanalysis from the New York University Postdoctoral Program in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis and certificates in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy and Somatic Experiencing treatments. During and after college, prior to my intensive study and practice of psychotherapy and psychoanalysis, I made paintings and sculptures. My background in the arts continuously informs and enriches my work, as the process of change – for both therapist and patient -- always involves moments of uncertainty, discovery, playfulness, creativity, and surprise.
